Pressure and Vacuum Switches

Built for sudden pressure spikes and high pressure in any system. Honeywell Hobbs pressure and vacuum switches feature set points ranging from 0.5 psi to 3000 psi. With the flexibility to modify switches to meet customer requirements, these rugged components have excellent repeatability of set points at temperature extremes and wide media capability.

Relays

Honeywell relays are designed for applications that require stability and reliability, including power and logic control. Featuring small package size, vibration and shock resistance, and high dielectric strength, our relays offer a choice of socket styles for easy maintenance.

Solid State Switches

Honeywell combines a miniature-sized mechanical switch’s construction and mounting convenience with solid state technology to create rugged, reliable switches. The switching element is a Hall-effect transducer with a trigger and amplifier integrated on a silicon chip. Switches accept either AMP or MOLEX connectors.

Airflow Sensors

Measuring flow and differential pressure, these sensors contain advanced microstructure technology to provide a sensitive and fast response to flow, amount/direction of air or other gas, and even proportional output voltage. Honeywell airflow sensors contain a thin-film, thermally isolated bridge structure that consists of a heater and temperature sensing elements.

Current Sensors

Honeywell current sensors offer accurate and fast response for a variety of applications. Our magnetoresistive technology has almost no thermal drift or offset with temperature, providing very stable, repeatable measurements. Series includes adjustable linear, null balance, digital, and linear current sensors.

Fiber Optic Sensors

Honeywell’s fiber optic sensors provide solutions for demanding and high-performance applications such as short-haul data communications over plastic fiber, analog, and digital interfaces and duplex communication over a single fiber. Meet SERCOS and other standards. Liquid level sensors are miniature, solid state devices in a variety of housing types for detecting the presence or absence of a wide range of liquids. Normal, condensation, bubbling, and variable application types available.

Flexible Heaters

Flexible HeatersResistive devices available in flat, molded-to-shape, spiral wrap, transparent, composite, and high temperature configurations with single, multiple, and variable watt densities to customize heat output to unique applications. Can be bonded to other system parts or combined with thermostats, thermocouples, temperature sensors, or thermal fuses.

Force Sensors

force-sensorsHoneywell force sensors offer a variety of package styles and various electrical interconnects including prewired connectors, printed circuit board mounting, and surface mounting for flexibility. Sensors concentrate the force from the application, through the stainless steel plunger, directly to the silicon sensing element.

Hall-Effect Rotary Position Sensors

Using a magnetically biased Hall-effect integrated circuit (IC) to sense rotary movement of the actuator shaft, these transducers vary output voltage or current in response to the magnetic field changes. Honeywell’s non-contacting approach to Hall-effect rotary position applications provides longer life solutions that excel in most harsh environments.

Humidity Sensors

Configured with integrated circuitry to provide on-chip signal conditioning, Honeywell humidity sensors ensure linear voltage output versus %RH. Laser trimmed for stable, low-drift performance, they are packaged in chemically resistant packaging to accommodate many harsh environments.

Inertial Measurement Units

Honeywell’s six degrees of freedom IMU that senses rotation rate about the roll, pitch, and yaw axes (X, Y and Z axes) and acceleration along the longitudinal, lateral, and vertical axes (X, Y and Z axes). Often used for tracking and monitoring a vehicle or platform (up/down, left/right, forward/backward) in a hard mounted configuration.

Infrared Sensors

Optoelectronic standard IREDs, sensors, and assemblies for object presence, limit and motion sensing, position encoding, and movement encoding. Honeywell Infrared sensors are manufactured in a variety of package styles, materials, and terminations to provide application flexibility along with component, subassembly, and custom assembly options.

Keyless Entry Sensors

Industry leading sensor responsiveness and low power usage. Utilizes coded communication via 3D low frequency/radio frequency techniques.

Linear and Distance Position Sensors

These Honeywell units have rugged extruded aluminum housings to withstand harsh chemicals and immersion into oils or water. Construction features include extended life PTFE bearings, precious metal multi-finger contact wipers, and MYSTR® conductive plastic thick-film elements.

Magnetic Position Sensors

Honeywell’s magnetic position sensor family includes digital and analog Hall-effect position sensors, magnetoresistive digital sensors, Hall-effect vane sensors, gear-tooth sensors, and magnetic sensors. Magnetic position products are reliable, high speed, long-life sensors that are directly compatible with other electronic circuits.

Oxygen Sensors

High-accuracy oxygen measurement, without reference gas. Honeywell oxygen sensors employ two ZrO2 discs with a small, hermetically sealed chamber between the discs. The first disc functions as a reversible oxygen pump, which successively fills and empties the chamber. The second disc measures the ratio of the partial pressure difference and generates a corresponding voltage.

Pressure Sensors - Silicon

Honeywell Sensing and Control's silicon pressure sensors contain sensing elements that consist of four piezoresistors buried in the face of a thin, chemically-etched silicon diaphragm. These sensors are small and reliable, along with featuring excellent repeatability, high accuracy, and reliability under varying environmental conditions.

Pressure Sensors – Stainless Steel Media Isolated

Full line of sensors for use with media compatible with stainless steel. Most Honeywell pressure sensors use bonded strain gage technology, making them very resistant to the effects of shock, vibration, and hostile environments. Measurement types include absolute, gage, and sealed gage. All products are fully compensated and tested to meet specifications before shipment.

Proximity Sensors

These rugged, one-or-two-piece products are designed to meet demanding temperature, vibration, shock, and EMI/EMP interference requirements, and are available in a number of housing materials and termination styles.

Rotary Position Sensors

Honeywell Sensing and Control offers a wide selection of digital and analog Hall-effect, magnetoresistive, and potentiometric devices for sensing the presence of a magnetic field or rotary position. Sensors are directly compatible with other electronic circuits for application flexibility.

Speed Sensors

Honeywell Sensing and Control speed sensors may be used for measuring speed, position, and presence detection utilizing magnetoresistive, variable reluctance, Hall-effect, variable inductance, and Spiral technologies. Manufactured as zero speed, bi-directional, and omni-directional speed sensors, these devices are available with options including high temperature, multiple coil, and torque/timing VRS speed sensors.

Temperature Sensors

Customized probes, thermistors, and RTD sensors compose the Honeywell Sensing and Control temperature sensor offering. The RTD Series feature two distinct lines (silicon and platinum), all of which are laser trimmed for accuracy and interchangeability. Plastic and ceramic, miniaturized, and surface-mount housings are available options, along with printed circuit board terminations.

Thermostats

Honeywell Sensing and Control manufactures commercial and precision snap-action thermostats including automatic or manual reset options, phenolic or ceramic housings, and a wide variety of mounting brackets and terminal options. Precision thermostats include both hermetic and nonhermetic devices. Many catalog listings meet domestic and international approvals, as well as appropriate military specifications.

Trimmers

Honeywell Sensing and Control trimmers offer superior setting capabilities. They are constructed with cermet elements for stability over their operating range. Multi-turn trimmers are available in both square and rectangular housings. Single-turn trimmers are available in square housings.

Wirewound Resistors

Rugged products meeting military specification standards. Honeywell Sensing and Control wirewound resistors are available in a variety of sizes and package styles that include an adjustable style.

Pressure Transducers

Honeywell manufactures a wide range of absolute, gage and true gage pressure sensors, specializing in high pressure sensors and flush diaphragm sensors. Measuring pressure up to 175,000 psi our foil=based strain gage technology enables our sensors to withstand pressures that would destroy silicon-based or micromachined pressure sensors. For high-frequency measurement or when used in space-limited applications, our flush diaphragm pressure sensors are designed for ruggedness and reliability. Unamplified, amplified and digital output options available.

Load Cells

Honeywell manufactures a wide range of tension, compression and universal measurement load cells. Our load cells are industrially rugged and feature enhanced reliability with stainless steel constructions. Using bonded foil and semiconductor Honeywell load cells are designed to measure force from 25g to 3 million pounds. With one of the highest levels of accuracy and widest range of temperatures available, our load cells are available in most common footprints. Unamplified, amplified, and digital output options, dual bridge, vibration, and fatigue rated options available.

Torque Transducers

Honeywell Sensing and Control offers rotary and reaction (non-rotating) torque transducers, featuring bonded strain-gauge technology. Offers both in-line mounting configurations and clamp-on sensors, with wireless analog telemetry (WDC) and wireless digital telemetry (TMS). Torque measurements from 25 oz-in (0,18 Nm) to 250,000 ft-lb (339,000 Nm). Miniature reaction through clamp-on style from 100 mm [4 in] to 900 mm [35 in] diameter.

Displacement Transducers

Our linear variable displacement transducers are designed to meet ruggedness requirements of most single- and multiple-point industrial gauging applications in addition to micro-displacement instruments in research and scientific laboratories. Models are available with free unguided, captive spring return and captive guided armatures with dc/dc or ac/ac electrical options. Linear variable displacement transducers operate in temperatures as low as -50C (-58F) up to 125C (257F).

Accelerometers

Honeywell Sensing and Control manufactures accelerometers offering a wide range of frequencies from dc to 6,000 Hz and full ranges of 5g to 2,000g. These units are designed to survive overloads up to 500% and are designed for operating temperatures from 38C (100F) to 260C (500F). We offer various sizes, including miniature transducers, and a wide array of mounting configurations. Bi-axial and tri-axial measurements and special submersible units are also available. Honeywell accelerometers can be ordered with built-in signal conditioning and also with velocity output.

Instrumentation

Honeywell offers a range of instruments including single-channel, multi-channel and microprocessor based units. Our inline amplifiers are appropriate for use with Honeywell transducers and transmitters in addition to other brand products. Honeywell safety light curtains are photoelectric barriers composed of several infrared beams aligned on an emitting column and a receiving column. Different resolutions permit the detection of an approaching finger, hand, limb, or body.
